Another Camp Fundraiser-Celebration is Around the Corner!

Mark you calenders for March 24th!  We will be getting together at the Bemidji Evangelical Free Church beginning at 5pm and including a silent auction, dinner, camp updates and great entertainment from camp alumni. 3pm Silent Auction Opens 5pm Celebration Supper (free will donation) 6pm Silent Auction Closes - Celebration Program with camp updates, entertainment, laughter and more

Come enjoy food and entertainment while helping raise funds as we go into the upcoming camp season! Silent Auction items up for bid: tickets from MN attractions like the Science Museum & Great Lakes Aquarium, handmade items from local artists, theme baskets stuffed with goodies, gift certificates from local businesses, merchandise donated from large & small companies, Timberwolves tickets, and more!

Hello friends of Deeper Life Bible Camp,  

We are writing to inform you about our annual Camp Work Day, on Saturday, May 21st, 2011. It’s a day we have set aside to prepare the camp for the coming summer ministry. We will be cleaning out all of the buildings, doing work projects, and putting the camp in working order for the summer.

 

One project that we are focusing on is major work to the girls cabin Indus. We will be removing and replacing the siding, replacing the soffits, and facia boards. We need to finish this project so we are able to house campers for the first week of the camp season.

 

There is a group being put together to do the physical work on the cabin, but we are need of finances to finish the job completely. For all of the building materials we need $2,000. Right now we have $300 that was donated toward the project.

 

We are asking all of our “Lifers” to band together to be apart of completing the project.

A "Real" Update

A Real Summer

Camp has been such an amazing experience this year.  We explored what it means to be "real".  The central focus being that Jesus is our ultimate reality.  We want to hear from you now. What did God teach you about being real this summer at camp.

Life Is Worship

We are currently working on updating our Life Is Worship page with music and videos.

The music page offers all chord sheets for each song along with a few audio recordings.  Feel free to use these songs in your church and youth group, however remember to give credit where credit is due.  If your church is using these songs let us know!

April Newsletter

My Week at DLBC!! I had lots of fun at DLBC! My friends and I really grew stronger in our faith just by going. The best part about camp was singing. I still sing the camp songs even in my shower! Our counselor's were Hannah and Melissa. They had the best cabin! We got to put up Glow in the Dark stuff and it really shined during the night. On the first night we played "Find the Counselors". The campers stay in the mess hall while the counselors hide. Autumn, Allisyn and I were a team and we found Kaitlyn and Hannah. We had Sloppy Joes, chips and pickles (Autumn's favorite) on the first night. Autumn, Allisyn and I made a new friend. Her name is Sydnie Sorheim. She was in Liz's cabin. Our speaker, Dana Blomberg was an awesome speaker. Melissa won the verse memorization. You memorize about 20 verses from your Bible and if you do you would win a Go Bananas DVD. Dana's brother is the speaker on it. It was really hard to go to sleep. I was probably up until 12:30 or so at night. On the last night we played "Mission Impossible." This is how it goes. Some of the counselors dress up and bury treasure. The other counselors stay with their cabin. We go to the counselors who are dressed up and ask if we can get the pass word for a piece of the map which tells where the treasure is. Sometimes you get sent to jail and you have to do something to get out. Allisyn and I had to dump cold water on our heads. We got second place in that because Katie's cabin won and found the treasure. And that's how I spent my week at DLBC!! by Shayley

Annual Meeting

To all Association Churches, Deeper Life Bible Camp will be having the Annual Meeting on Saturday April 12th @ Grand Rapids Free Church. There will be a general board meeting at 9 am and the Annual Meeting will follow at 10:30 am. The Annual Meeting will consist of:

  • Oral and written reports from all board members
  • Establishing a nominating Committee
  • Reelection of members of the Board
    • Torry Swedberg as Secretary
    • Lon Bjornrud as Director of Promotions

All association churches should have 2 delegates from their church attend this meeting for voting purposes. There will be a potluck lunch following the meeting.
